Tulane University to Present Key Conflict Minerals Findings at Global Conflict Minerals Symposium


Tulane University to present Conflict Minerals Burden Survey at Global Conflict Minerals Symposium.  This survey acts as a follow up to the October 2011 study, which analyzed the economic impact of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The latest study will now look at the realized impact affected companies are experiencing from conflict minerals legislation. 

Katie Taylor Helps Launch Aramark Ireland’s Right Track Survey into Healthy Eating Habits


Aramark Ireland health and wellness ambassador Katie Taylor was on hand to help launch the company’s Right Track Survey into Irish eating habits among its customer base across Ireland.

Taylor is working with Aramark to promote its commitment to health and wellness issues under its 'Right Track' programme. 

The business’s food services division currently serves over 250,000 meals every day and the company spends €50m with Irish suppliers.

In 2012, Southwest Airlines landed at the St. Luke’s Community in Spokane, Washington, a 2,200 square foot real-life therapy area at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute dedicated to helping people recover after an injury or illness. A portion of a fuselage sponsored by Southwest Airlines was retrofitted to be part of St. Luke’s therapy program, the region’s only level I trauma rehabilitation hospital.  Now, the partnership has given one of Southwest’s own Flight Attendants, Kate Ordorizzi, the Freedom to Fly and return to work following an injury.

September 3, 2013 /3BL Media/ - Candelaria, a Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold company, joined the festivities marking the recent Chilean Indigenous New Year, providing a water well and water rights, electric generator and discharge pump to the nearby community of Colla Serranía Poblete.

The well and equipment will help ensure a critical water supply for the community’s agricultural activities.

Community representatives expressed their appreciation for the project by performing a ritual in honor of Pacha Mama, or Mother Earth, as part of the New Year celebrations.
