Houston Students Head Back to School with Safety Message


The City of Houston hosted its annual Mayor's Back To School Festival at the University of Houston's main campus last Saturday. The event supports families who can't afford the costs of getting their child ready for school. Union Pacific took the opportunity not only to lend a hand, but to spread its safety message.

A Commitment to Veterans


Over the next five years, one million servicemen and women will be leaving the military and returning to civilian life. In support of those veterans, CVS Caremark has joined the national Joining Forces initiative, a White House program aimed at hiring and training veterans and military spouses. As part of Joining Forces, CVS Caremark has committed to hiring veterans and military spouses for 25 percent of its new hires in logistics and distribution centers nationwide, which equates to about 1,000 jobs over the next four years.
