"We work to provide emergency communications and technological services to communities and small businesses affected by catastrophes throughout the country," said Joe Hillis, operations director at ITDRC. "With support from more than 250 volunteers, we operate from coast to coast, and the CITGO Fueling Good reward will relieve some of the financial burden that we cope with when we mobilize to help a community in need. We are so grateful to Sun Coast and CITGO for the donation and the recognition. This gift will allow us to help even more people in 2013."

Since it was founded in 2009, ITDRC has worked to alleviate the devastation felt by local businesses in the wake of large-scale disasters. In 2012, ITDRC responded to eight emergency situations, including Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast and Hurricane Isaac on the Gulf Coast, to help the communities recover and rebuild.

"All of us at Sun Coast have a first-hand understanding of the intense level of need that follows a natural disaster. We are honored to join CITGO in recognizing ITDRC for the work it does across the country," said Kyle Lehne, director of emergency services at Sun Coast Resources, Inc. "When Sun Coast deployed resources and volunteers to the East Coast in the wake of Hurricane Sandy last year, we were stunned by the destruction and devastation. It gave us a real appreciation for the work ITDRC does and how important it is."

Over the past four years, CITGO has rewarded more than a million miles of good to more than 200 local heroes and nonprofit organizations through its Fueling Good program. In the latest campaign, an all-time record of more than 300,000 votes were cast to determine the 12 winning 501(c)(3) organizations.
