With employees using social media at work, at home, and on the go, there is a great deal of potential for conflicts. To preempt any problems, the New Brunswick Securities Commission decided to draft a directive to address:
• legal and privacy issues
• what employees do on their personal profiles versus work profiles
• unique considerations for a bilingual public organization.
Marissa Rignanesi will describe the impact of these guidelines on employees’ social media use.
