AEG earns perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 20th annual scorecard on LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

LOS ANGELES, January 27, 2022 /3BL Media/ - AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, proudly announced today that the company has received a perfect score of 100 on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s premier benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.  AEG joins the ranks of more than 840 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.

“When the Human Rights Campaign Foundation created the Corporate Equality Index 20 years ago, we dreamed that LGBTQ+ workers—from the factory floor to corporate headquarters, in big cities and small towns—could have access to the policies and benefits needed to thrive and live life authentically,” said Jay Brown, Human Rights Campaign Senior Vice President of Programs, Research and Training. “We are proud that the Corporate Equality Index paved the way to that reality for countless LGBTQ+ workers in America and abroad. But there is still more to do, which is why we are raising the bar yet again to create more equitable workplaces and a better tomorrow for LGBTQ+ workers everywhere.”

“We are honored to once again receive a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index and be designated a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality. At AEG, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture throughout our global portfolio and believe that diversity, equity and inclusion in our workforce is paramount to our success,” said Jae Pi’ilani Requiro, Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, AEG. “I also want to acknowledge the great work of our Pride Employee Network Groups in the United States and Europe, whose unwavering commitment and passion continue to amplify AEG’s corporate initiatives to build a culture of belonging for our employees, fans and partners.”

The results of the 2022 CEI showcase how 1,271 U.S.-based companies are not only promoting LGBTQ-friendly workplace policies in the U.S., but also for the 56 percent of CEI-rated companies with global operations who are helping advance the cause of LGBTQ+ inclusion in workplaces abroad.

The CEI evaluates companies on detailed criteria including non-discrimination policies across business entities, equitable employee benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families, supporting an inclusive culture, and corporate social responsibility.

AEG’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria earned a 100 percent ranking and the designation as one of the Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.  For more information on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index, or to download a free copy of the report, visit www.hrc.org/cei.
