LOS ANGELES, March 11, 2022 /3BL Media/ - The Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF), a global nonprofit foundation, dedicated to improving the lives of children and families around the world, announced today it has allocated $333,000 to the World Food Program USA to assist with disaster relief from Typhoon Odette in the Philippines. The grant will support the U.N. World Food Programme—the largest humanitarian organization combating global hunger—in distributing food to the Dinagat Islands, with a goal of reaching 5,400 families.

Nutrition for Zero Hunger: One Step Towards Solving Food Insecurity

In the early days of my career, I worked as a pediatrician with the goal of helping my patients get a strong, healthy start. To this day, I am thankful for the opportunity I had to help others. But I also became even more aware of the challenges families faced, and I saw how food insecurity – unreliable or inconsistent access to affordable and nutritious food – affected communities and continues to be a significant global issue today.
